Christina Aguilera Offered Role With Big and Beautiful Dating Site – the 31-year old singer has had her fair share of critics in recent months who have chided her about her weight gain but maybe she will be having the last laugh?
The “Beautiful” singer has apparently been offered a cool $3 million to become the face/body of a dating website for “big and beautiful women.”
Entertainment site TMZ are saying that the offer has been made by Whitney Thompson, a former winner of America’s Next Top Model and the first ever plus-size model to win the series. Thompson is now the person behind TheBigandTheBeautiful,com , a site for men to meet bigger, curvy women.
Thompson says of the website that it allows women to be themselves and not lie about their figures on their dating profiles as the site is there for men who are looking for bigger women. Interestingly on their home page the site actually says “ We are a premier forum that the so-called chubby chasers use to meet local women like you for online dating. Join the best BBW dating site and experience the difference.”
We are not sure what Christina will think about the site but she has always been very strong on the subject of female empowerment. Christina has certainly had some knockers in the music industry with regard to her size. Christina is said to have been told by her record label back in 2002 that she was getting too big and that she had to lose weight quickly or not only would she lose record sales but also the people who toured with her might lose their jobs when she sold no tickets for her concerts.
It seems that things have changed since 2002 as Christina said to Billboard magazine recently: ‘I told them during this Lotus recording, “You are working with a fat girl. Know it now and get over it.” They need a reminder sometimes that I don’t belong to them. It’s my body.’
We are sure that whatever Christina decides about the big and beautiful offer it will not just be about the money on offer as she is unlikely to be swayed by the $3m as she is said to be worth at least $60m in terms of record sales and income from other sources such as fashion, make-up, perfume and advertising.
