Avril Lavigne Engaged to Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger – the 27-year old singer and 37-year old singer and guitarist with Canadian rockers Nickelback have just announced their engagement after dating for only 6 months.
They first met in February after getting together to co-write a song for Lavigne’s soon to be released 5th studio album, the follow-up to her 2011 release Goodbye Lullaby.
As well as working with Nickelback and collaborating with Lavigne, Chad Kroeger has also worked with Santana, Bo Bice and Theory of a Deadman. Together with Josey Scott, Tyler Connolly and Jeremy Taggart, Kroeger performed the theme song “Hero” for 2002′s Spider-Man movie.
Chad Kroeger is reported to have proposed to Lavigne on 08 August, and given her a 14 carat diamond ring.
Lavigne was previously married to Deryck Whibley, frontman of Canadian rock band Sum 41. She has also dated Kim Kardashian’s stepbrother Brody Jenner. The coupe were together for around 2 years and Lavigne has a permanent reminder of the relationship as she has a tattoo of Brody’s under her right breast.
In the unlikely event that anybody had got confused about who the Nickelback singer was going to marry Adam Levine of Maroon 5 took to Twitter to say: ’Just to clear up the confusion, I am NOT engaged to Chad Kroeger of Nickelback.’
Zayn Malik Deletes Twitter Account – the One Direction singer has deleted his Twitter account.
He firstly posted 2 messages on the site saying: ”The reason i don’t tweet as much as i use to, is because I’m sick of all the useless opinions and hate that I get daily goodbye twitter.
“Fans that have something to say can tweet me on the one direction account.”
His departure follow’s that of his girlfriend, Perrie Edwards from Little Mix, who deleted her Twitter account in May this year citing similar reasons for leaving.
Zayn had 5 million followers and already trending on Twitter are #comebackZayn and #Zayncomeback. One Direction fans are known to take these sort of things very seriously and any woman linked with members of the band has come under intense scrutiny.
It is alleged that the current Zayn/Twitter controversy has been caused by the posting on YouTube of a poor quality video shot through a hotel keyhole which purports to show Zayn inviting a girl back to his hotel room. In fact it seems very unlikely that this is the One Direction star in the video and in fact you only ever get to hear the voice although you do see the girl.
It does seem that Zayn and Perrie’s relationship is actually getting more serious as Perrie went to Zayn’s parent’s home in Bradford to meet the family and help celebrate the Muslim holiday of Eid, which marks the end of Ramadan.
Zayn has been spotted at Perrie’s Notting Hill flat on a number of occasions and they are reported to be close to setting up home together which is likely to break even more hearts than today’s news of Zayn deleting his Twitter account.
